It is not recommended to use MyEtherWallet for receiving STASH however, it is a widely used platform. Thus we have created a tutorial for those that want to receive STASH while using MyEtherWallet.
IMPORTANT: When using MyEtherWallet or what is commonly referred to as “MEW” be sure that the URL is an exact match to https://www.myetherwallet.com/ it should also include MyEtherWallet INC [US] in the URL section for the secure certificate like shown below.
After verifying that you are indeed on MyEtherWallet or MEW continue by clicking anywhere on the blue box that says “Create A New Wallet”.
Next you will be requested to select your wallet type.
The easiest is MEWConnect which is essentially a mobile app wallet for you to connect with similar to MetaMask but just for MyEtherWallet (MEW).
The Keystore option is a file that will hold your wallet address, private key, and public key. Be careful with this method, if someone has access to your computer your wallet could be compromised if they get this keystore file.
The Mnemonic Phrase option is similar to the seed phrase method in which MetaMask will create a new Ethereum wallet for you. However, it is important to remember that you should keep this written in a safe place.
After you have created your wallet on MyEtherWallet (MEW) you will now be able to view your wallet dashboard like shown below.
Notice where your address is, simply share this address with others that will be sending you STASH, Ethereum, or other ERC-20 Tokens.
Above you can see where your Ethereum Address will be on MyEtherWallet (MEW).
Note: Do not use the above ETH or ERC-20 address. You will want to use your own personal ETH or ERC-20 address created on MyEtherWallet (MEW).
