How to Send STASH with MEW

In order to send STASH with MyEtherWallet “MEW” it is recommended to have MetaMask or another compatible wallet installed.

IMPORTANT: When using MyEtherWallet or what is commonly referred to as “MEW” be sure that the URL is an exact match to https://www.myetherwallet.com/ it should also include MyEtherWallet INC [US] in the URL section for the secure certificate like shown below.

After verifying that you are indeed on MyEtherWallet or MEW continue by connecting to MyEtherWallet. You can do this by selecting “Access my Wallet”. Alternatively you could also create a wallet on MyEtherWallet for sending, receiving, and connecting however this is not a recommended way. In this tutorial we will be showing you how to connect and send STASH via MyEtherWallet. Simply click anywhere in the green box.

Once you have selected “Access my Wallet” you will be taken to a new section like the following. Simply select “MetaMask” to continue.

MyEtherWallet will provide you will an additional screen asking for your permission to connect to the MEW DApp. Agree to the terms and select “Access my Wallet”.

After you have connected to MEW or MyEtherWallet you will be presented with the following dashboard. Select “Add custom token”.

Now you will be required to include the following token information in-order to send STASH and view your STASH balance within MEW or MyEtherWallet.

  • Contract Address: 0x965f109d31ccb77005858defae0ebaf7b4381652
  • Token Symbol: STASH
  • Precision / Decimals: 18

Add the above information like the below image and click “Save”.

You will now have access to your STASH balance with MyEtherWallet (MEW). Below you can see where you balance will be shown on the right section of your dashboard on MEW.

Now you can easily send STASH with MEW or MyEtherWallet, simply go to the send section on MEW. From the drop down menu, select “STASH” instead of Ethereum. Enter the amount of STASH you would like to send and the Ethereum address you wish to send STASH to as well. Next click on “Send Transaction”. You will have a MetaMask notification pop-up and a request to confirm the transaction, select Confirm.

That is it! You have now successfully logged in to MyEtherWallet, added STASH as a custom token, and sent STASH to someone. Some more advanced transactions will require transaction data or additional information to be sent with the transaction. This can be included with the “Advanced” section while sending STASH on MyEtherWallet (MEW).
